the turntable had been removed, but the radio works well and sounds great. Behind the radio is a well for record storage. This seems to have been a very high-end unit in its day, with connections for adding a tape player and second auxillary piece of equiptment, as well as the ability to add a set of external speakers and an external bass speaker.
